Celestron 2in Eyepiece Kit
A 2 inch eyepieceThe small lens you put your eye to at the back of a telescope. Swapping it for another one changes how much bigger everything looks. and filter set kept for visual observing rather than imaging. Useful for finding and framing a target by eye before the camera goes on, and for handing the telescope to someone who would rather look through it than at a screen.
Why an imager keeps eyepieces
An imaging rig never shows you the sky. It shows you a screen. That is fine for producing photographs and slightly beside the point on a clear night when someone asks what you are looking at.
This kit stays in the bag for two reasons. Putting an eyepiece in and finding something by eye is sometimes quicker than waiting on a plate solveThe software takes a quick test frame, matches the pattern of stars in it against a catalogue, and works out exactly where the telescope is really pointing. It then nudges the mount onto the target., particularly on the Moon and the planets. And handing someone a telescope they can actually look through is a completely different experience from showing them a stackedCombining many frames of the same patch of sky into one. The random grain is different in every frame so it averages away, while the real detail is in the same place every time and stays. image afterwards.
What a kit like this is good at
Covering a range of magnificationsHow much bigger a telescope makes something look. It is the telescope's focal length divided by the eyepiece's focal length. at once, without buying premium eyepieces one at a time. For occasional visual use alongside an imaging setup that is the right trade. The colour and neutral densityA filter that dims everything evenly without changing the colours. On the Moon it simply makes the view comfortable to look at. filters earn their place on the Moon, which is bright enough at low magnification to be genuinely uncomfortable.
Bundled eyepieces are rarely the equal of good individual ones, so expect narrower apparent fieldsHow wide the view looks through an eyepiece, as opposed to how much sky it actually covers. A wide apparent field feels like looking through a window rather than a straw. and less generous eye reliefHow far your eye can sit from an eyepiece and still see the whole view. Generous eye relief matters if you wear glasses. than a dedicated wide-field eyepiece would give. If visual observing were my main interest I would buy two good eyepieces instead of a kit of eight, but that is a different hobby from this one.

The 2 inch fitting suits the Askar V, and the longer configurations give the most comfortable visual magnifications.
